  1. Kia ora Jacob, this is Kieryn from the Summer Learning Journey.
Well done for participating in the Summer Learning Journey and sharing with us this blog post about Stephen Hawking.
Stephen Hawking was such an incredible, inspirational man who overcame so many challenges in his life. When he was only 21 years old he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease which affected the way he could walk, talk and move.
Stephen also received many awards over the years for his work including the Order of the British Empire, the Albert Einstein Medal, and the Wolf Prize in physics.
Have you received any awards before? If so, when?
You mentioned how Stephen Hawkings taught you a valuable lesson; Even if you can’t move, you can still do amazing things.
This is such a fantastic message to take away from such an outstanding human being! Even though he was faced with so many struggles in his life, he never gave up and instead became one of the most well known people in the world!
Are there any other facts you know about Stephen Hawking?
    Nga mihi
